Now Is the Day ("we," "us") is a faith-based nonprofit in Colfax, California. This policy covers our website, nowistheday.org, our emails, and the forms we use, including sign-up forms on Facebook and Instagram.
Information we collect
We only collect information you choose to give us:
- Contact details such as your name, email address, phone number and town, when you email us, fill out a form, or sign up through one of our Facebook or Instagram ads.
- How you'd like to help, such as volunteering, giving, prayer, or church partnership, and any message you send us.
- Donation details when you give online. Online gifts are processed by Zeffy, our donation platform. Zeffy collects your payment information directly; we never see or store your full card or bank account number. Zeffy shares your name, email, gift amount and date with us so we can thank you and send a receipt.
Our website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, may set technical cookies needed for security and keep basic visit logs.
How we use it
- To respond to you and follow up about volunteering, giving or partnering with us.
- To send gift receipts and thank-you notes.
- To send occasional updates about our work, if you've asked to hear from us. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- To keep accurate records required for a nonprofit organization.
What we don't do
- We do not sell, rent or trade your information to anyone.
- We do not share your information with other organizations for their own marketing.
Who we share it with
We share information only with the services that help us run the ministry, and only as needed for that purpose: Zeffy (donations), Meta (if you sign up through a Facebook or Instagram form), Google (email and document storage) and Cloudflare (website hosting and email forwarding). Each of these companies has its own privacy policy. We may also disclose information if the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep contact information for as long as you're in touch with us or until you ask us to remove it. We keep donation records for at least seven years, as required for tax and accounting purposes.
Your choices
You can ask us at any time to see the information we have about you, correct it, stop contacting you, or delete it (except records we're required by law to keep). Just email info@nowistheday.org. California residents have these rights under California law, and we extend them to everyone.
Children
Our website and forms are meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, email us and we will delete it.
Security
We limit access to your information to our team members who need it, and we use secure, password-protected services to store it. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect what you share with us.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll post the new version here with a new effective date.
